Hong Kong and China, commonly known for rapid economic and technological change, mass production, endless opportunities for consumption, towering high-rise, crowded streets, and overall general vibrancy, is actually comprised of many layers. It is the underneath layers that I have sought to capture in this collection of photographs.

I indicate the larger picture by recording the close up views, the in-between spaces, and the everyday details. These images are fragments and tend towards the sensory in the same way that memory operates. Our strongest memories are recalled in sensory fragments.
