Berylouise Mitchell
Berylouise Mitchell was shortlisted in City of Sydney’s Australian Life 2014 photography prize with her photograph “We wish we’d known you grandpa”.
She has been a finalist in The Shutterbug Award in 2010 and 2012 for her two series, Birdsville Races and Anzac Day, and won Third Prize in the Historic Houses Now and Then competition exhibited at the Museum of Sydney in 2012. She was twice exhibited at the McGregor Prize for Photography, University of Southern Queensland, where she received a Highly Commended. Mitchell studied photography in Brisbane at Queensland College of Art and Griffith University. Her work is held in the State Library of Queensland collection.
